25th International Book Fair
opens at Binyanei Ha'umah at Jerusalem




Russian books in Israel
On February 20, the largest convention center of the country's "Palace of the Nation" opens the 25th International Book Fair.
The International Book Fair is held every two years, and this year it has gathered more than 1.200 publishing houses from 40 countries, which brought more than 100.000 books in different languages.

The Russian exhibition "Books of Russia" traditionally organized by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, which has provided more than 1.500 new books of the leading Russian publishing houses.

A variety of activities of the Russian program - presentations, poetry readings, concert and exhibition action in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv will be held.

The program was attended by famous writers, poets and journalists M. Amelin, V. Leibin, D. Buck, I. Irtenev, O. Nikolaeva, L. Ulitskaya, O. Chukhontsev.
Also meetings with prominent Russian authors, who live in Israel (Dina Rubina Svetlana Schönbrunn, Julia Wiener, Daniel Kluger) were held.

At the opening of the Russian exposition,the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov, welcomed the organizers of the national stand and the visitors.
Kryukov noted the growing scale of Russia's participation in the fair and attracted the attention of visitors to the expanded edition of the magazine with the photo exhibition "Russian reporter".

Kryukov also reported that on February 23 there will be a presentation of a new project by Ludmila Ulitskaya "Other, Others, on the other", focusing on children and parents.
Also Russia's new book for children will be shown.

The Jerusalem Fair will extend its work until February 25.

Российские книги в Израиле

 

20 февраля, в Иерусалиме, в крупнейшем конгресс-центре страны «Дворец нации» открылась 25-я Международная книжная выставка-ярмарка. Она проводится раз в два года, и в этом году на ней собралось более 1.200 издательских домов из 40 стран мира, которые привезли более 100.000 книг на разных языках.

Российскую экспозицию "Книги России" традиционно организует Федеральное агентство по печати и массовым коммуникациям, которое представило более 1.500 новых книг ведущих российских издательств. В Иерусалиме и Тель-Авиве пройдут разнообразные мероприятия российской программы – презентации, поэтические чтения, концертные и выставочные акции. В программе примут участие известные писатели, поэты и журналисты М. Амелин, В. Лейбин, Д. Бак, И. Иртеньев, О. Николаева, Л. Улицкая, О. Чухонцев. Также состоятся встречи с известными русскоязычными авторами, живущими в Израиле (Дина Рубина, Светлана Шенбрунн, Юлия Винер, Даниэль Клугер).

А. Крюков отметил растущий масштаб участия России в ярмарке и привлёк внимание гостей к развёрнутой редакцией журнала «Русский репортёр» фотовыставке.

А. Крюков также сообщил, что 23 февраля в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве состоится презентация нового проекта Людмилы Улицкой "Другой, другие, о других", обращённого к детям и родителям. Будут показаны и новые российские книги для детей.

Иерусалимская выставка-ярмарка продлит свою работу до 25 февраля.
