Vernissage of two exhibitions, paintings by Lyubov Minkovich (Ashdod) - "My Belarus"
and wooden sculptures and graphics by Leonid Okun (Gederah) - "Heroes of the town."
at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv



The inauguration of two exhibitions on January 6, marked the start of the new year 2011 at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

Lovers of fine art attended expositions of landscape painting by Lyubov Minkovich (Ashdod) - "My Belarus" and a collection of wooden sculptures and graphics by Leonid Okun (Gederah) - "Heroes of the town."

Opening the evening, the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel,Alexander Kryukov, congratulated the audience with the beginning of a new year and stressed that the authors of the exhibited works are from Belarus - representatives of the Russian academic school of fine arts.

Kryukov pointed out the plastic expressiveness and philosophical depth for images of the Jewish shtetl, as embodied in the works of L. Okun, and the lyricism of watercolor landscapes of L. Minkovich.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Igor Leschenya, who warmly welcomed the artists and guests on opening day, and also expressed appreciation to the Russian cultural center for the opportunity to familiarize Israelis with the work of immigrants from Belarus.

Lyubov Minkovich and Leonid Okun thanked the Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel for organizing the exhibitions and presented a gift from their works to the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Israel.

The Vernissage was accompanied by musical improvisations of the pianist, and war veteran Emil Siegel (Rehovot).

The evening was attended by professional artists, art lovers and representatives of the Russian-language Israeli press.

The exhibition will run until the end of January.

Пейзажи и образы Беларуси – в Российском культурном центре

 

Начало нового 2011 года ознаменовалось в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве торжественным открытием 6 января двух выставок. Вниманию ценителей изобразительного искусства были представлена экспозиция пейзажной живописи Любови Минкович (Ашдод) – «Моя Беларусь» и коллекция деревянной скульптуры и графики Леонида Окуня (Гедера) – «Герои местечка».  

Открывая вечер, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле Александр Крюков поздравил собравшихся с началом нового года и подчеркнул, что авторы экспонируемых произведений, выходцы из Белоруссии, – представители академической российской школы изобразительного искусства. А. Крюков отметил пластическую выразительность и философскую глубину образов еврейского местечка, воплощённых в работах Л. Окуня, и тонкий лиризм акварельных пейзажей Л. Минкович.

В церемонии принял участие Посол Республики Беларусь Игорь Лещеня, который тепло приветствовал художников и гостей вернисажа, а также выразил признательность Российскому культурному центру за возможность ознакомить израильтян с творчеством выходцев из Беларуси.

     Любовь Минкович и Леонид Окунь выразили благодарность представительству Россотрудничества в Израиле за организацию выставок и преподнесли в дар Российскому культурному центру в Тель-Авиве и Посольству Республики Беларусь в Израиле свои произведения.

Вернисаж сопровождался музыкальными импровизациями пианиста, ветерана войны Эмиля Зигеля (Реховот). В вечере приняли участие профессиональные художники, любители живописи и представители русскоязычной израильской прессы.

Выставки продлятся до конца января.
