Russian Officals honor war veterans in Or Akiva,Israel
on the occassion of the 65th Victory Anniversary


8 April 2010, Or Akiva, north of Tel Aviv, in a solemn ceremony members of the city branch of the Union of soldiers and partisans - Disabled veterans from the war with Nazi Germany, were awarded medals "65 Years of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. ".

The awards were handed by the Consul-General of Russia in Haifa IV Popov, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, AA Kryukov, Mayor of Or Akiva Esipov, as well as representatives of the central committee of the Union of war Disabled.

In his speech the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, AA Kryukov congratulated the veterans and disabled persons to Victory Day and expressed his deep gratitude for the dedication on the battlefields of the war with Nazi Germany.

Activists of the city branch of the Union prepared for the guests a small concert of wartime songs, as well as their own works on the Victory.
In conclusion of the event,the hosts and guests laid flowers at the Victory Monument of the city,the memorial to the soldiers, and the Jewish combatants who fell in battle against Nazism.

The event was covered by a television crew led by the head of the RTR Near East Bureau , SV Pashkov.

В Израиле чествуют ветеранов

 

8 апреля в г. Ор-Акиве, расположенном к северу от Тель-Авива, состоялась торжественная церемония награждения членов городского отделения Союза воинов и партизан – инвалидов войны с нацистами российскими медалями «65 лет Победы в Великой Отечественной войне 1941-1945 гг.».

Награждение проводили Генеральный консул России в Хайфе И.В. Попов, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле А.А. Крюков, мэр г. Ор-Акивы С. Есипов, а также представители центрального комитета Союза инвалидов войны.

В своём приветствии руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле А.А. Крюков поздравил ветеранов и инвалидов с наступающим Днём Победы и выразил глубокую благодарность за самоотверженность на полях сражений войны с нацистской Германией.

Активисты городского отделения Союза приготовили для гостей небольшой концерт песен военной поры, а также своих собственных произведений на тему Победы.

В заключение мероприятия гости и хозяева возложили цветы к установленному в городском Парке Победы памятнику воинам-евреям, павшим в боях с нацизмом.

Мероприятие освещалось группой тележурналистов под руководством заведующего Ближневосточным бюро ВГТРК С.В. Пашкова.
