8 April 2010, at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, an exhibition of paintings by Russian artists from St. Petersburg, members of Peter's Academy of Arts and Sciences, Boyeva Larissa and Valentin Skachkov was inaugurated.
Shown were canvaces which previously have been exhibited in Russia and abroad. Among those present at the RCC were lovers of painting, especially many formerly from Leningrad, in particular, the chairman of the Union of the Leningrad blockade S. Bahrul. Thus it is not surprising that the exhibition is devoted to the city on the Neva.

By opening night, the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov stressed the particularly warm relationship in the RCC to the city on the Neva River and the admiration for the courage and heroism of Leningrad during World War II.

Then Kryukov introduced the chairman of the Association of Professional Artists of Israel and curator, Emile Vulfin to the exhibitors and displayed the work that the guests from St. Petersburg presented as a gift to the RCC.

The Musical epigraph to opening day was a performance of the famous Russian-Israeli singer and actor Paul Kravetsky, who for many years was connected with the city on the Neva.
The singer, accompanied by the concertmaster I. Katz sang popular songs on Leningrad and the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. The pianist Emil Siegel also took part in the concert.

The ceremony continued and curator E. Vulfin stressed the enduring dignity of the Russian classical school of art, which are the faithful followers of St. Petersburg artists, who provided the lyrical landscapes of St. Petersburg and its environs, as well as still lifes.

The artists expressed their gratitude to the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv for the organization of exhibitions and hospitality. - The exhibition will run in the RCC until April 21.
