winners of the creative competition "And remember the world is saved ..."
dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory

On April 26, 2010 the International conference of young compatriots - winners of the creative competition "And remember the world is saved ..." dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory, was opened in Moscow.

The forum was attended by winners of the contest, held at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, Victoria Barkagan (Jerusalem), Alina Bartosch (Tel Aviv) and Maria Zhammal (Haifa).

The Conference was opened by the Director of the Department of relations with compatriots abroad, the Russian Foreign Ministry, AV Chepourin, delivered by greeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, SV Lavrov.

The Conference Manager Rossotrudnichestvo FM Mukhametshin addressed all present.

On behalf of the organizers, he sincerely thanked all the laureates for their literary and research works dedicated to the memory of the victims, for the care of veterans-winners, for their continuous relationship with Russia.

FM Mukhametshin noted that Rossotrudnichestvo considers work with young people as its priorities.

Speakers at the conference World War II veterans, historians, political scientists, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church told the youth about the role of the Soviet Union during World War II and the decisive contribution of the Soviet people to victory over fascism.
The reports touched upon the need to actively counter attempts to alterations and falsification of history regarding the outcome of the war.


Международная конференция «И помнит мир спасённый…»



26 апреля 2010 г. в Москве открылась Международная конференция молодых соотечественников – лауреатов творческого конкурса «И помнит мир спасённый…», посвящённого 65-й годовщине Великой Победы. В работе форума приняли участие победительницы конкурса, проведенного в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве,  Виктория Баркаган (Иерусалим), Алина Бартош (Тель-Авив) и Мария Жаммаль (Хайфа).
     Конференцию открыл директор Департамента по работе с соотечественниками за рубежом МИД России А.В. Чепурин, который огласил приветствие Министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В. Лаврова.
     К участникам Конференции обратился Руководитель Россотрудничества Ф.М. Мухаметшин. От имени её организаторов он искренне поблагодарил всех лауреатов конкурса за их литературные и исследовательские работы, посвященные памяти  о погибших, за заботу о ветеранах-победителях, за непрекращающуюся связь с Россией.
     Ф.М. Мухаметшин отметил, что работу с молодёжью Россотрудничество считает приоритетным направлением своей деятельности.
     Выступавшие на конференции ветераны Великой Отечественной войны, учёные-историки, политологи, представители Русской Православной церкви рассказали молодым соотечественникам о роли СССР во Второй мировой войне и решающем вкладе советского народа в Победу над фашизмом. В докладах активно затрагивалась тема необходимости противодействия попыткам ревизии и фальсификации истории, итогов войны.
