Exhibition of Arab art and Russian national costume
at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv




7 February, 2011 two new original art exhibitions were inaugurated at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

The famous Arab master Muhammad Kallash (Kfar Kara), participated in exhibitions in London, Haifa, St. Petersburg and Tel Aviv, presented his unique works created by the art of painting on glass and wood carvings of rare varieties.
Philosophical sayings from the Koran and symmetric designs, carved folk art of several layers of wood, caught the attention of the Israelis who came to the RCC.

Filled with spiritual meaning and symbolism of various Islamic work of M. Kallash left nobody indifferent to his popularity in the Arab countries, the ancient art of carving and artistic painting.

Israelis - lovers of Russian art also attended a rare exhibition of drawings "The costumes the peoples of Russia XVIII - XIX centuries.." an exhibition received by the RCC from the Russian State Art Library (Moscow).

Visitors of the RCC have the opportunity to get acquainted with the facial features, national clothes and household items Russians depicted in the figures of the time.

Speaking at the opening night, the head of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov, stressed the significance of the Russian Cultural Center where Israelis can not only see the best examples of Russian art and culture, but the peoples living in Israel contribute to the mutual enrichment of cultures.

The opening day was attended by diplomats, artists, and many patrons of the RCC.

Выставки арабского искусства и русского костюма в РКЦ

 

7 февраля в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве состоялось торжественное открытие двух новых оригинальных художественных выставок.

Известный арабский мастер Мухаммад Каллаш (Кфар Кара), участник выставок в Лондоне, Хайфе, Санкт-Петербурге и Тель-Авиве, представил свои уникальные работы, созданные методом художественной росписи по стеклу и резьбы по дереву редких сортов. Философские изречения из Корана и симметрические орнаменты, вырезанные народным умельцем из нескольких слоёв дерева, привлекли внимание израильтян, пришедших в РКЦ. Наполненные духовным смыслом и разнообразной символикой ислама, работы М. Каллаша никого не оставили равнодушным к популярному в арабских странах древнему искусству резьбы и художественной росписи.

Израильтянам - ценителям российского искусства также была представлена поступившая в РКЦ из Российской государственной библиотеки искусств (Москва) редкая экспозиция рисунков «Костюмы народов России XVIII – XIX вв.». Посетители РКЦ имеют возможность познакомиться с типажами, национальными нарядами и предметами быта россиян, изображёнными на рисунках того времени.

Выступая на открытии вечера, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле Александр Крюков особо отметил значимость того, что в Российском культурном центре израильтяне могут ознакомиться не только с лучшими образцами российского искусства и культуры, но и с творчеством народов, проживающих в Израиле, что способствует взаимообогащению культур.

На вернисаже присутствовали дипломаты, деятели искусства и многие постоянные посетители РКЦ.
