Introduction:Obshestvo IRAS was founded 15 December 2005 in Tel Aviv – Israel by Gil Pahl and Israeli-Russian Artists as a Non-Profit Volunteer Organization – pending formal registration.(Registrar of Associations - Rasham Ha Amutot, Jerusalem) Membership : over 100 Artists in 2005 – mostly Musicians ,Vocalists, Poets, Painters , Sculptors, Performing Artists. Currently the IRAS data base includes over 250 artists, further expansion is planned. (as of Oct 2007) The majority of members immigrated from Russia-CIS to Israel and perfectly blend Russian and Israeli Art and Culture, targeting Russian and mixed Russian-Israeli Audiences. Members perform domestically, throughout Israel including charity performances and special performances as well as internationally. IRAS maintains close relations with other art societies and organizations and encourages partnerships and guest performances in Russia – CIS and overseas. Organizational structure to include an administrative, managerial board as well as an art events organizing PR team: IRAP - Israeli Russian Art Promotions Our professional teams to develop /strengthen our multi-media ties, to keep direct contacts with large immigrant and potential local audiences both in Israel and abroad, to engage in extensive PR work and to launch effective campaigns for domestic and international performances, ensuring maxium artistical exposure and success. We publish in three languages : Russian – Hebrew – English Mode of Operation:Obshestvo IRAS plans / coordinates performances with interested local / regional and international establishments and institutions over 1/2 year period. IRAS takes care of the PR work and advertising and also seeks sponsorships to cover the costs of its activities . Artists will be hired and paid solely by the organizers.
