17 June 2011 - Memorial evening dedicated to 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy held by the Chernobyl Union in Israel with the support of the Russian Embassy in Tel Aviv at the celebrations hall "Bukhara Yafa"
17 June 2011- The accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant remembered in Israel.
In Israel, the memory of the catastrophe at Chernobyl, which occurred in 1986, does not lose its sharpness, although 25 years have passed ...
It is because there are hundreds and hundreds of thousands of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, particularly Russia, Ukraine and Belarus - the three republics of former USSR, which suffered the most severe human and material damage as a result of the Chernobyl disaster.
Among Israelis, today there are about 1,350 participants in the liquidation of the accident, represented through the union of the liquidators, "Chernobyl victims" of Israel (Director - Alexander Kalantyrsky), which is a memorial and information work, protecting civil and economic rights "of Chernobyl."
The Memorial evening dedicated to 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy was held by the "Chernobyl" Union with the support of the Russian Embassy in Tel Aviv in the celebration hall "Bukhara Yafa."
The event was attended by Russia's ambassador to Israel, PA Stegny and senior diplomats of the Russian Embassy,as well as Israeli government ministers, Knesset members, public figures and journalists.
The main heroes of the evening were participants in the liquidation of the accident, now living in Israel, headed by the chairman of the Union A. Kalantyrskim.
Presentations were made by Ambassador Petr Stegny, Ministers Sofa Landwehr, Stas Misezhnikov and Yuli Edelstein, the Knesset Members Shamalova Julia and Leah Berkowitz, Shem-Tov, Consul General of Russia in Haifa, Igor Popov.
They expressed their gratitude to the "Chernobyl" liquidators, who have been in the path of the raging nuclear disaster.
The Head of the Russian FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov said that the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv from the first day of work in Israel has established partnerships and camaraderie with the "Chernobyl" Union and in 2008 held the first evening in Israel, in remembrance and gratitude to the living liquidators who had dealt with the hardest man-made disaster of the twentieth century.
Kryukov said that in Russia, despite the past 25 years since the Chernobyl disaster,we remember and will remember the Soviet people of all nationalities, who saved the country, and the whole of Europe from the harmful radiation and its effects at the cost of their health and their lives.

живут сотни и
сотни тысяч
выходцев из
бывшего СССР,
в частности,
из России,
Украины и
Белоруссии –
трёх
республик
тогдашнего
СССР, которым
был нанесён
самый
тяжёлый людской
и
материальный
ущерб в
результате
катастрофы
на ЧАЭС.
Среди
израильтян
сегодня
насчитывается
около 1350
участников
ликвидации последствий
аварии. Существует
Союз
ликвидаторов-«чернобыльцев»
Израиля
(руководитель
– Александр
Калантырский),
который
ведёт
мемориально-информационную
работу,
защищает
гражданские
и экономические
права
«чернобыльцев».
Мемориальный
вечер,
посвящённый
25-летию
трагедии в
Чернобыле,
был проведён
Союзом
«чернобыльцев»
при
поддержке
Посольства
России в
Тель-Авиве 17
июня в зале
торжеств
«Бухара яфа». В
мероприятии
приняли
участие
Посол России
в Израиле П.
Стегний и
старшие
дипломаты
российского
посольства,
министры
израильского
правительства,
депутаты
Кнессета,
общественные
деятели и журналисты.
Главными
героями
вечера были
живущие в
Израиле
участники
ликвидации
аварии во
главе с
председателем
их Союза А.
Калантырским.
Перед собравшимися
выступили
Посол Пётр
Стегний,
министры
Софа Ландвер,
Стас
Мисежников и
Юлий
Эдельштейн,
депутаты
Кнессета
Юлия
Шамалова-Беркович
и Лия Шем-Тов,
генеральный
консул
России в
Хайфе Игорь
Попов. Они высказали
благодарность
ликвидаторам-«чернобыльцам»,
вставшим на
пути
разбушевавшейся
атомной
стихии.
Руководитель
представительства
Россотрудничества
в Израиле
Александр
Крюков
рассказал,
что Российский
культурный
центр в
Тель-Авиве с
первых дней
работы в Израиле
установил
партнёрские
и товарищеские
отношения с
Союзом
«чернобыльцев»
и ещё в 2008 году
провёл
первый в
Израиле
вечер памяти
погибших и благодарности
живущим
ликвидаторам
последствий
тяжелейшей
техногенной
катастрофы
ХХ века.

Крюков подчеркнул,
что в России,
несмотря на
прошедшие 25
лет со дня
катастрофы
на ЧАЭС,
помнят и
будут
помнить о
советских
людях всех
национальностей,
ценой своего
здоровья и
самой жизни
спасавших
родину и всю
Европу от
губительного
излучения и
его
последствий.
