March 9, 2011 Yuri Gagarin exhibition opened
at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv




March 9,2011, the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv launched the awareness-art exhibition in the library of the RCC, "Son of the Earth and stars, dedicated to Yuri Gagarin, whose 77th anniversary is celebrated on March 9.

The exhibition is in close connection with the 50th anniversary of the first space flight of man and the Year of the cosmos, announced in Russia.

The centerpiece of the exhibition occupy historical and biographical and documentary materials about the life of the world's first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, a citizen of the USSR, the memories of his friends and associates from the first squad of Soviet cosmonauts.

In the literature section there are books from the golden era of Soviet and world science fiction by Tolstoy, I. Efremov, B. and H. Strugatsky, K. Bulychev, S. Lem.
Of particular interest to visitors are science-fiction works of K. Tsiolkovsky.

The decoration centerpiece is the portrait of Yuri Gagarin, by the brush-known Russian artist Alexander Shilov, and art landscape space cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, who was the first man to walk in space.

Visitors have the opportunity to see Russian art and documentary films from different years about the life and exploits of Yuri Gagarin, and the history of space exploration.

Musical accompaniment of the exhibition was a cycle of songs by Pakhmutova and N. Dobronravova "Constellation of Gagarin.
The exhibition will run until the end of March.

Выставка, посвящённая Юрию Гагарину, открыта в Тель-Авиве

 

В связи с 50-летием первого космического полёта человека и Годом космоса, объявленным в России, в библиотеке Российского культурного центра в Тель-Авиве развёрнута информационно-художественная выставка "Сын Земли и звёзд", посвящённая Юрию Гагарину, 77-летие которого отмечается 9 марта.

Центральное место в экспозиции занимают историко-биографические и документальные материалы о жизненном пути первого в мире космонавта, гражданина СССР Ю. Гагарина, воспоминания его друзей и соратников из первого отряда советских космонавтов.

В разделе художественной литературы представлены книги из золотого фонда советской и мировой фантастики А. Толстого, И. Ефремова, Б. и Н. Стругацких, К. Булычёва, С. Лема. Особый интерес у посетителей вызывают научно-фантастические произведения К. Циолковского.

Художественное оформление экспозиции составили портреты Юрия Гагарина кисти известного российского художника Александра Шилова, репродукции космических пейзажей космонавта Алексея Леонова, первым вышедшего в открытый космос.

Посетителям выставки предоставлена возможность посмотреть российские художественные и документальные фильмы разных лет, посвящённые жизни и подвигу Ю. Гагарина, а также истории космонавтики. Музыкальным сопровождением выставки стал цикл песен А. Пахмутовой и Н. Добронравова «Созвездие Гагарина».

Выставка продлится до конца марта.
