at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv

During the XXV International Jerusalem Book Fair, the famous Russian writer Liudmila Ulitskaya (Moscow)participated in a special evening organized by the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv at which a large gathering of Russian reading public was in attendance.
The evening presentation consisted of a literary and art project for children and adolescents "Other, Others, on the other, moderated by Ludmila Ulitskaya.

Opening the evening, the Head of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov said that Liudmila Ulitskaya's creativity is of great interest to Israel's Russian-speaking readers.
He also appreciated the urgency and importance of the children's humanistic publishing project initiated by the writer.

In her speech, L. Ulitskaya outlined the main objective of the project,which is the contemporary education of children and adolescents through a series of books in Russian on various aspects of everyday life, to tolerance, mutual respect for the traditions and customs of different peoples, which is especially important for Israel, where representatives of various cultures are living.
The writer introduced the books of the project which has been published by the Joint Humanitarian Publishing House (Moscow), whose books are presented on the Russian stands at the XXV International Jerusalem Book Fair.
Next Liudmila Ulitskaya answered numerous questions from readers about her work and views on current literature and future plans.

In conclusion, the author donated a collection of books from the series "The Other, Other, on the other to the RCC library, which will find their application in the classroom of the Russian language courses for children at the RCC.

The event was attended by diplomats, NGO representatives, writers and poets and the correspondents of Russian and Israeli media.

В рамках XXV Международной иерусалимской книжной выставки 23 февраля в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве при большом стечении русскоязычной читающей публики состоялся вечер-презентация литературно-художественного проекта для детей и подростков «Другой, другие, о других», которым руководит известная российская писательница Людмила Улицкая (Москва).

Открывая вечер, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле Александр Крюков отметил, что творчество Людмилы Улицкой вызывает большой интерес у израильских русскоязычных читателей. Он также высоко оценил актуальность и гуманистическую значимость детского издательского проекта, инициатором которого стала писательница.

В своём выступлении Л. Улицкая рассказала, что главной задачей проекта, представляющего собой серию книг на русском языке о разнообразных аспектах повседневной жизни, является воспитание у современных детей и подростков толерантности, взаимного уважения традиций и обычаев разных народов, что особенно актуально для Израиля, где проживают представители самых различных культур.

Писательница ознакомила присутствующих с книгами проекта, выпущенными в свет Объединённым гуманитарным издательством (Москва), продукция которого была представлена на российских стендах XXV Международной иерусалимской книжной выставки.

Далее Л. Улицкая ответила на многочисленные вопросы читателей о её творчестве, взглядах на современную литературу и дальнейших планах.

В заключение писательница преподнесла в дар библиотеке РКЦ собрание книг из серии ««Другой, другие, о других», которые найдут своё применение на занятиях курсов русского языка для детей в РКЦ. На вечере присутствовали дипломаты, представители общественных организаций, писатели и поэты, корреспонденты российских и израильских СМИ.
