The Russian Ambassador meets with Russian-speaking Israelis
at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv




February 14,Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, the Ambassador of Russia in Israel, a scientist, doctor of historical sciences Piotr Stegniy met with Russian-speaking Israelis.

Opening the evening, the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel,Alexander Kryukov said that the meeting was held in response to numerous requests from visitors to the RCC, who are interested in the opinion of the head of the Embassy on a number of directions of development of Russian-Israeli relations over the past 4 years, during which Ambassador Stegniy has been serving as Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Israel.

Russia's ambassador spoke about the development of political, economic and humanitarian ties between Russia and Israel in the given period, praised the prominent location and the important role of the RCC in strengthening and expanding cultural and information linkages between the two countries, which led to some preliminary results during his tenure.

Of particular interest to the visitors was Ambassador Stegniy's record of activities as a historian and writer.
Not so long ago he published the next, already the thirteenth volume of the book "Farewell, Madame Korf. From the history of Catherine the Great secret diplomacy "

In conclusion, the scholar and diplomat was asked various questions. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Union of Russian Writers of Israel, Ephraim Bauch, President of the Union of disabled soldiers and partisans from the war with the Nazis, Roman Jagel, chairman of the liquidators of Chernobyl in Israel, Alexander Kalantyrsky, known novelist and screenwriter Alexander Kanevsky, diplomats and journalists.

Встреча Посла России с русскоязычными израильтянами

14 февраля в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве состоялась встреча Посла России в Израиле, учёного, доктора исторических наук Петра Стегния с русскоязычными израильтянами.

Открывая вечер, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле Александр Крюков сообщил, что встреча проводится по многочисленным просьбам посетителей РКЦ, интересующихся мнением руководителя Посольства по целому ряду направлений развития российско-израильских отношений за последние 4 года, в течение которых П. Стегний находится на посту Чрезвычайного и Полномочного Посла в Израиле.

Посол России рассказал о развитии политических, экономических и гуманитарных связей России и Израиля в означенный период, высоко отозвался о заметном месте и важной роли РКЦ в укреплении и расширении культурно-информационных связей между двумя странами, подвёл некоторые предварительные итоги своего пребывания в должности.

Особый интерес у гостей вызвал рассказ П. Стегния о своей деятельности как историка и писателя. Не так давно вышла в свет его очередная, уже тринадцатая, книга «Прощайте, мадам Корф. Из истории тайной дипломатии Екатерины Великой».

В заключение учёному и дипломату были заданы разнообразные вопросы. Во встрече приняли участие председатель Союза русскоязычных писателей Израиля Ефрем Баух, президент Союза воинов и партизан – инвалидов войны с нацистами Роман Ягель, председатель Союза ликвидаторов-чернобыльцев Израиля Александр Калантырский, известный писатель и сценарист Александр Каневский, дипломаты и журналисты.

Вечер освещался телеканалом «Родной».
