on Poklonnaya Gora will host the International Conference of pupils from the CIS
and Baltic States to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day
26-27 Jan. Moscow Museum of the Holocaust and Jewish Heritage on Poklonnaya Gora will host the International Conference of pupils from the CIS and Baltic States to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The event is timed to the 66th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Red Army, and observed in the world according to UN resolutions.
At the conference, more than 20 reports of schoolchildren in Russia, Ukraine and Estonia, who presented their essays and other creative works will be heard.
Russia is represented by students from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Tambov, Volgograd and Pskov regions and the Republic of Karelia.
The conference participants will be welcomed by World War II veterans and former prisoners of the ghetto.
They will become familiar with the new traveling exhibition of the Museum at Yad Vashem (Jerusalem) "Children's games will not happen".
The award ceremony of the 9th Annual International Competition for the work of teachers, students and schoolchildren, "Lessons of the Holocaust - the way to tolerance" (more than 1000 works from 57 regions of Russia and 7 other states were received for the contest ) will be held January 27 in Moscow's Central House of Writers |

СНГ и Балтии,
приуроченная
к Международному
Дню памяти
жертв Холокоста.
Это мероприятие
приурочено
к 66-й годовщине
освобождения
Освенцима
Красной Армией и отмечается
в мире согласно резолюции
ООН.
На конференции
будет заслушано
свыше 20 докладов школьников
России, Украины и Эстонии, представлены
их эссе
и другие творческие
работы. Россию представляют
школьники
из Москвы,
Санкт-Петербурга,
Саратовской,
Тамбовской,
Волгоградской,
Псковской
областей
и Республики
Карелия.
Участников
конференции
будут приветствовать
ветераны
Великой Отечественной
войны и бывшие узники гетто. Они ознакомятся
с новой передвижной
выставкой
Музея «Яд ва-Шем»
(Иерусалим)
«Детских игр не
бывает».
Церемония
награждения
победителей
9-го ежегодного
Международного
конкурса
работ преподавателей,
студентов
и школьников
"Уроки Холокоста
- путь к толерантности"
(на конкурс
поступило
более 1000 работ из
57 регионов
России и 7 других государств)
состоится
27 января в
Москве в Центральном
Доме литераторов.
