Opening Rossiyskogo Cultural Center in
Amman

Amman in the festive atmosphere of the opening Rossiyskogo Center for Science
and Culture. Creating the next RCSC -
continuation of a planned long-term government program of the Federal Agency
Rossotrudnichestvo to increase the humanitarian presence of Russia abroad,
support and promote Russian language and expanding multifaceted contacts with
compatriots, and the deepening of cultural and information cooperation with the
countries in which there are RCSC.
The ceremony was opened by
Russia's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan AM Kalugin, a high regard for many
years, developing a positive relationship between Russia and Jordan, the
deepening of which undoubtedly contributes to the unfolding activity RCSC in
Amman. Deputy Head of the FA
Rossotrudnichestvo AG Chesnokov, welcomed the
assembled members of the diplomatic corps, Jordanian officials attending the
opening Rossotrudnichestvo representatives from Israel, Lebanon and Syria, as
well as compatriots, local artists and the public.
On the Jordanian side in the
solemn part of the evening was attended by Culture Minister Sabri Erbihad and
Secretary General of the Ministry of Dzharis Samawi, as well as Secretary
General of the Ministry of Education Turki Obeidat.
Director Rossiyskogo cultural
center in Tel Aviv, Alexander Kryukov handed to his colleague - director of the
center in Amman, AA Dorofeeva gift - a picture of
the "Ancient Ashkelon", written by a member of an association of
professional artists Gregory Firer Israel (Ashkelon), and expressed confidence
in the productivity of cooperation between the two neighboring points for the
rapprochement of cultures for the benefit of the peoples of Israel, Jordan and
Russia.
Festive evening ended with the
opening speech of the People's Artist of Russia, the soloist of the Bolshoi
Theater, VA Malchenko, as well as exhibition
of paintings by Moscow artist Eugene Burmakina "Native expanses".
